Called Tiger's-eye or Tiger-eye and the blue is also known as Hawks eye and is a chatoyant crystal with Lustre silky colours of golden browns, gold yellow, light & very dark royal blue. This beautiful crystal gains its silky lustrous appearance from the parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals and altered amphibole fibers that have most turned into limonite. Tigers-eye is mostly a metamorphic rock.
